Meme Legend Dies, Road-Trip Listens, and Arkansas Underrated Hiking Scene.
It ain't much but it's honest work...RIP
Hope you and your family are well. Spring in full swing, plants are everywhere, and my lawn mower started up after a winter in the shed (Praise Jesus). My garden is looking great partially due to the No-Till method that I use in order to keep my soil healthy.
Some of the lessons I learned were taught by this man.
Popular Meme Legend Dies
David Brandt, pictured above in this very popular meme, has died from injuries sustained in a car accident. Not sure of the details but here is a history of this man's impact.
He was a farmer from Carol Ohio at Walnut Creek Farms and Walnut Creek Seeds where they sell cover crop seeds to help others use cover crops for regenerative farming purposes as well as run a regenerative farm themselves.
He advocated for healthier farming practices since the seventies when he returned from Vietnam to farm his father’s farm. He started using no-till methods after realizing constant tilling and fertilization destroyed soil health.
David made a big impact in the regenerative farming movement and has helped others implement these practices all over the world in order to create better soil and farm the same land for decades without destroying the soil with pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers.
His work in soil health practices was indeed honest work.
Little Rock is an Awesome Place to Hike - Pinnacle Mountain Arkansas
This Hike is worth a 5-hour drive. In the heart of Arkansas, this peak stands WAY above the rest. Words don’t do justice so check the video I did.
Interesting Listens for Road Trips
While driving to Pinnacle Mountain in Arkansas I found out about Rebel Wisdom and his podcast. This one stands out specifically as the CIA in the 1960s was one of the worst criminal organizations around (and they still probably are).
